Research in femtobiology has, over
the years, focused on understanding the nature of the elementary
processes involved in the function of macromolecular
structures. These processes include folding-unfolding, hydration,
electron (proton) transfer, molecular recognition, and enzyme
catalysis. Here, we highlight such studies from selected
